About
I’m Jonathan Stone, a native Angeleno, designer, and illustrator. Like so many in our community, my life was impacted by the Eaton Fire.
Yet, in the face of devastation, I’ve witnessed something incredible: the resilience, heart, and generosity of this community. Altadena has always had a wild and untamed spirit and “maybe a little feral in the best possible way,” as Victoria Knapp from the City Council described it. As we rebuild, we must work to preserve the charm, character, and sense of belonging that make this town so special.
In times of crisis, help can comes in many forms. Beyond cleanup efforts and direct donations, we can also use our skills to make an impact. While helping my brother and his family settle into temporary housing, I partnered with members of the Altadena City Council and spoke with local residents to use my professional design skills to create a symbol for Altadena’s rebuilding, resilience, and future.
Altadena is strong. Altadena is resilient. And Altadena is a little feral. Let’s keep it that way.
